Feng Shui Tip - Avoiding Extremes
In Feng Shui, everything should be balanced. We want to avoid extremes. This plays into all aspects of your home design. For example, some people like to paint a room entirely red. This is too much. Red relates to the fire element and it is way too strong for a room. However, red highlights, or an accent wall is acceptable. Same too goes for Black. The color black is water and it too can be extreme if overused.
Lighting should be balanced. Avoid over-lighting a room or under-lighting a room.
Temperature should be balanced. Don’t have the house too cold or too hot.
Think about the tai ji - yin and yang. Seek balance in all aspects.
