Feng Shui Tip - Use your senses

Feng Shui involves all five senses. Use your senses when you walk into a space. For example when you enter a house, smell the air. Is it fresh? Is it stale? Do you smell pet smells? Is there anything foul smelling? In Feng Shui we want to remove sha. Sha is negative influences. So if there is a bad smell, correct it.

Do you see anything that bothers you? A broken chair, a cracked window. Anything that is in disrepair or creates an eyesore should be repaired or removed. Again, avoid sha and introduce beauty.

How do you feel when you walk in? Is it too cold, or too hot? Is there something hanging that is creating a pressure above you?

How does the place sound? Are there construction noises disturbing you? Is there a leaky faucet? Is there any other sounds that bother you? Rectify these things.

In some cases you can even taste foulness in the air. This is a definate problem. Ensure that this is fixed.

You want welcoming and beautiful qi. Avoid anything that is negative or offensive to the senses. This is the first thing that should be done before even calling out a Feng Shui practitioner. It also usually involves little or no money to remedy these situations. Take care of these things now!
