Here is an example of people mixing superstition with Feng Shui. The numbers in the address have nothing to do with the qi of the house. The house number issue comes from the Chinese superstition that certain numbers will help you do better or can create problems. This comes from the fact that the Chinese language is tonal. So if you say a number with a slightly different inflection, you can change its meaning. So a 4 might sound like “death”. Or an 8 can sound like “prosperity.”
Feng Shui on the other hand looks at the qi of the environment. The house number does not play a part in Feng Shui. However, if you are really bothered by having a 4 in address, then do not create the worry. Find a different address. Just understand that it is a personal feeling, not an environmental influence.
