Feng Shui and Destiny
Often in Feng Shui, we see that people get the house they were destined for, at that time, whether good or bad. And in applying Feng Shui, people may either get an knowledgeable master or a fraudulent master. This is their destiny. The best area of the house may be their garage and patio, while other people get the 8-6 (good for people) bedroom with the 6-8 (good for money) entrance.
We look at the five levels of life:
1.Destiny
2.Luck
3.Feng Shui
4.Charity/Kindness
5.Hard Work
We may work hard, make good causes and have balanced our Feng Shui, and our luck may have an influence. Our destiny is malleable, but as you mention, it takes a lot of inward effort. Our own personal view of destiny that it is like a cup of water. If you do the lower three things, then you can fill up your cup. Luck may top it off. Destiny however is how big your cup is. Are you destined to be the President of the US or a simple storekeeper. In either case, how you fill up your cup is up to you.
Using 4 Pillars, Zi Wei Dou Shu, or even Iron Board Astrology you can map your destiny. These can be surprisingly accurate. However, using a more Buddhist philosophy, if everything is cause and effect, then our life now is the effect of our causes made in prior lives, so that when we are born, we are born at the correct karmic time, thus setting our life chart. I have heard stories of people who plan their child’s birth according to a favorable chart, only to have an unexpected delay such as the doctor being stuck in traffic or similar. The heavenly fate is set.
I enjoy this journey and exploring the mysteries of life. Astrologically knowing does not necessarily spoil the fruit along the path. On the other hand, taken too seriously to the point of worry, can spoil things. To me, thus far in my journey, working hard at this life to make a positive impact on the lives of others is the point of this existence. While I cannot say that I always do so, I am now more conscious of this than ever.
